Anerythristic Scaleless corn snakes lack of the keratin layer that normally forms the snakes scales and lack the red or orange colors typically found in a corn snake. These beautiful snakes are mostly black, white or grey in appearance.
Scale-less snake have the ability to produce keratin, however it is usually lacking from along the head and dorsal area of the snakes body. The ventral or belly portion of the body is typically still covered by scales. There is some variability in the distribution of scales, this means that some very small scales may be present on the dorsal portion of the body and the scalation of the snout may seem completely absent in some animals.
